7 yrs on, police training centre at Rajgir remains incomplete

PATNA: The state government has failed to construct a training centre for its police officers in the last 17 years since the bifurcation of Bihar in 2000. "The centre was to be completed by 2014, but the firm missed the deadline and was granted an extension up to December 2015. But the situation remained the same," a source at police headquarters said.Sources also said the re-tendering process has yet not been initiated. The department will also recruit around 150 DSPs through Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC)," said a source.Sources said the work at Rajgir project stopped more than a year back. "Very soon, 1717 SIs will be recruited but there is no place to train them..
