The active cases tally has further dipped to 979.
The Puducherry headquarters received the highest 53 new Covid-19 cases, followed by Karaikal (18), Yanam (5) and Mahe (14).
Director of the Health and Family Welfare department, S Mohan Kumar said that, so far 37,799 vaccine doses have been given to health workers and 22,969 to frontline workers.
4,707 general public were inoculated with the Covid-19 vaccine yesterday, while 4.93 lakh people in all age groups have been vaccinated to date.
Puducherry has administered 6.96 lakh vaccines including the second dose (general Public + Covid warriors).
