Nigerian Man Caught Red Handed With Cocaine In Maharashtra

A 40-year-old Nigerian national was caught with Cocaine (a drug that brings dizziness) worth Rs 4 lakh. 

He was arrested by the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of Pune on Tuesday. The input by the Military Intelligence (MI) branch of the Indian Army`s Southern Command led to the arrest. 

The accused name Shuaib Taofiq Owolabi is a resident of Vashi in Navi Mumbai.

Nabbed near Rajyog Society in Baner, 20 gm cocaine was seized from him.

Cops at Chatushrungi police station have registered an FIR against Owolabi for offenses under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

Police commissioner Amitabh Gupta, Additional CP Ashoka Morale, DCP (Crime) Srinivas Ghadge, and ACP Surendra Deshmukh oversaw the arrest of the Nigerian national.

The team behind the arrest also included senior police inspector Vinayak Gaikwad and policemen Pravin Shirke, Sujit Wadekar, Sandip Jadhav, Rahul Joshi, Pravin Uttekar, Nitin Jadhav, Pandurang Pawar, and Sandesh Kakade.
