RAIPUR: Veteran Congress leader and Chhattisgarh’s first finance minister Ramchandra Singhdeo , popularly known as 'Korea Kumar” of erstwhile Korea state, died at a private hospital here after a prolonged illness early Friday morning.He was 88 and unmarried. He said Singhdeo had always worked for the uplift of the poor and strived to promote agriculture, animal husbandry. "Elected from Korea six times to the state assembly, Singhdeo has been known for his bold stand on various issues including relief and rehabilitation of oustees of major dam projects in Madhya Pradesh and other social issues.
