Murder accused arrested in Anjar

Rajkot: The accused , who had allegedly stoned a man to death after robbing him on the night of July 10, was arrested from his house in Bhimasar village of Anjar taluka in Kutch district on Saturday.Police identified the accused as Samji Koli (30). He had allegedly stoned Pratapsinh Shekhawat (37), a resident of Bhimasar, who originally hailed from Fatehpur Sikri in Rajasthan, to death.The other accused involved in the murder was Bharat Koli, a resident of Mundra in Kutch district. Killing him by hitting his head with a stone, they robbed him of Rs 3,000 cash, cellphone and an ATM card,” said Gandhidham local crime branch inspector J P Jadeja. As they were hungry and without money, they decided to loot him.
