Nine minor girls rescued from Odisha train

RANCHI/ROURKELA: Nine minor girls from West Singhbhum (Chaibasa) were rescued by the Government Railway Police (GRP) from Tatanagar-Allepey express at Rourkela railway station while they were being taken to Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu. The girls had boarded the train from Tatanagar with five others.SP (Chaibasa) Kranti Kumar told TOI: "I have received the news of rescue of the children from Tatanagar-Allepey express. The GRP had received an intelligence input from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) that a group of labourers were being trafficked in the train. The team in Sundargarh is trying to figure out where the nine girls belong to.
