Three persons die in Lumshnong road mishap Meghalaya

A CORRESPONDENTSHILLONG: Three persons, who hid themselves between bitumen drums, died after the truck carrying them met with an accident on Saturday. According to Meghalaya Police, the truck bearing registration NL-02-N-4222 capsized and turned turtle at Lumshnong near the Forest Inspection Bungalow. Police said that there were only two occupants in the truck (driver & helper) when it entered Meghalaya but four persons boarded the truck somewhere between Deinchynrum and Byndihati. To avoid detection, these persons were hiding among the loaded bitumen drums on the back side. One was immediately rescued by Lumshnong Police, but he later succumbed to his injuries in the hospital,” Police said..
