Opposition slams it as ‘directionless’

SHIMLA: The opposition Congress, on its part, has termed the state budget directionless stating that “only jugglery of numbers has been done”.Leader of opposition in the state assembly Mukesh Agnihotri said the budget was nothing except a jugglery of numbers. He added that there was no focus on resource generation for improving economic condition of the state. He added that the state had slipped down in tourism status on national ranking. He added that there is no mention of 36 schemes announced in the last budget neither there was a mention of Rs 65,000 crore for the national highways in state.Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee president Kuldeep Singh Rathore termed the budget as directionless and a ‘jumla budget’ presented in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
