Aus vs BP XI: Easy win for Aussies in the Warm up match

Cricket | Australia Vs India 2017 | Tuesday | 12th September, 2017

Australia completed a comfortable 103 run victory against the Board President’s XI in their warm up match ahead of the ODI series against India. Young leg spinner Ashton Agar turned out to be the pick of the bowlers as he removed four batsmen including captain Gurkeerat Singh to put Board president XI side onto backfoot. Agar had impressed in the recent Test series against Bangladesh and can cause serious headaches for Indian cricket team in the upcoming ODI series.

Not a single batsman from the BP XI team could even complete a half century as they were bundled out for 244 runs. On the other hand, four batsman from the Australian line up scored 50 or more and that would have pleased their coach and captain.

Earlier , Australia won the toss and decided to bat first in this warm up game at the MA Chidambram Stadium in Chennai. The Aussies went in without Aaron Finch who is suffering from a calf injury but is expected to be fit till the 1st One Day International on Sunday. It was a dominating performance from Australia and Team India will need to be at their best against a confident Australian unit.
