India top both ICC Test and ODI rankings

Cricket | Australia Vs India 2017 | Monday | 25th September, 2017

Team India is enjoying a wonderful winning run of late and after Sunday’s win against Australia, they now have 12 wins on the trot across format. India has ousted South Africa from the no. 1 spot in ICC ODI rankings and are  currently one point ahead of them, with 120 points. As far as Test cricket is concerned, India is already at the top with 125 points, having a huge 15 point margin over second ranked South Africa. This means that India at the moment reign supreme in the world of cricket and are the team to beat.

India’s victory in the 3rd One Day international meant that India completed its sixth consecutive ODI series win with the previous victories coming against Zimbabwe(2016), New Zealand (2016), England (2017), West Indies (2017) and Sri Lanka (2017). India has dominated Test cricket over the last couple of years with 20 wins from 30 matches.

Virat Kohli is certainly enjoying his good time as a captain, but the real test will be when India play outside the sub-continent next year against teams like South Africa and Australia.
