Ind vs Aus T20I: Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati set to host first International match

Cricket | Australia Vs India 2017 | Tuesday | 10th October, 2017

International cricket back in Guwahati when India take on Australia in the second T20I match at the newly constructed Assam Cricket Association Stadium. The last time the north-east state hosted an international cricket match was seven years ago when India defeated New Zealand in an ODI at the Nehru Stadium on November 29, 2019.

However, the ACA-Barsapara Stadium will be hosting its first international game and the Aussie skipper David Warner was satisfied with the facilities.

What Warner probably doesn’t know is that the Barsapara Cricket Stadium last year saw Himachal Pradesh getting out for 36 against Hyderabad during a Ranji Trophy match. It was the fourth-lowest total in the premier domestic competition since 2000.

Whatever may be the outcome of the match, the locals are looking forward to seeing their favourite cricketing heroes in action but the rain might kill the buzz as the weather is gloomy and the forecast indicates a possibility of thunderstorm. The match is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. (IST), there are over 40 percent chances of rain from 1 p.m. onwards till 6 p.m.
