India vs South Africa 2018: India to play third T20I

Cricket | Saturday | 24th February, 2018

India would be eyeing a perfect end to this Twenty20 International series against South Africa. After a minor setback in the previous match, the Men in Blue will be looking forward to recover and close out this eight-week long tour with a series' win.

The three-match series is level at 1-1 after India won the first match by 28 runs which are bounced back by the Proteas with a six-wicket win.

Through this limited-overs' leg, South Africa have shown that they are more comfortable in the T20 setting.

Shikhar Dhawan is slowly making his way to the summit as he single-handedly won India the first T20I with a blistering 72, but failed to set the mark in the second game.

The reincarnation of Suresh Raina has been explosive, but just like the firecrackers, it has fizzled out too quickly. Scoring 15 and 31 runs in first two matches Raina is expected to show his prowess in the third match.

Virat Kohli has boldly managed to scale the Mt Everest. The captain will look forward to ending the tour perfectly and lead his side to another series win.

It is obvious that MS Dhoni's big-hitting prowess is on the wane but he remains India's best keeper and will be on the side of the team in the coming tours.

India has shown an inclination to field a left-arm pacer in this format, but Jaydev Unadkat has proven expensive so far. He has picked up two wickets for 75 runs at an economy of 9.78.

Yuzvendra Chahal has also been hammered (one wicket for 103 runs in 8 overs at economy 12.87).

With Chahal's confidence hitting a bit low, Kuldeep Yadav could find himself in the reckoning for this all-important game.

Jasprit Bumrah's abdominal strain had forced India to make a change, but they will consider a couple spots for this finale.

India's tour has gained momentum with victories over South Africa since last January, which is keen to add another trophy in the run.
