The Ram Rahim incident has once again put a question mark on Indian baba’s and why millions of people follow them blindly. The recent conviction of tainted Gurmeet Ram Rahim in rape case has been making a lot of headlines due to the aftermath which had left parts of the country especially in Punjab and Haryana burning. Celebrities across different spheres have expressed their feelings on the issue and in such case someone like Gautam Gambhir cannot be quiet. The Indian cricketer who is quite active on social media and regularly expresses his feelings on various issues, looked quite upset at the recent violence and also described it as a classic case of religion marketing.
Even after Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh being convicted and sentenced to 10 years imprisonment, there had been violence caused in parts of India, especially Haryana and Punjab. The followers of the self-proclaimed Godman went berserk and broke all the rules and regulations on the road.
Gambhir also expressed his dissapointment that people of the country are fighting over other issues like 'National Anthem in cinema halls' when there are much more important issues prevalent.
