Chennai Super Kings’ current CEO Kasi Viswanathan recently said in an interview that he will not be surprised if Mahendra Singh Dhoni becomes 'Team Boss’ in 10 years. This statement of his holds great significance because he is considered to be someone who is very close to former BCCI President N. Srinivasan.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni who considers Chennai as his spiritual home and is loved and respected a lot in Chennai. He has been CSK’s captain since its inception and has won trophy 3 times out of all 10 seasons played. Out of respect, people call him ‘Thala’ –which means leader in Tamil.

Dhoni has not been seen playing International cricket since his last appearance in the 2019 World cup. He has also taken a sabbatical from promoting any commercial brand amid the Covid-19 pandemic and is currently focusing on organic farming. He is gearing up to launch his own venture in organic farming.  It will have to be seen if Dhoni makes his foray into sports administration by deciding to manage CSK in a few years from now.

"Only one thing I knew that he's able to get the best out of the team by himself. He's able to get the best out of any member of the team. That's why we'd call him Thala," Viswanathan said.
