Points to be discussed in the upcoming IPL General Council meet

With the postponement of the ICC T20 World Cup, the BCCI is planning aggressively to have an IPL in the United Arab Emirates provided the central government green lights their request for a shift due to the rising cases on Covid-19.

To discuss the framework of the upcoming event soon there will be a Governing Council meets in few days time.

“There will be three principle points on the agenda and that will primarily be discussed as and when the GC meets,” a senior BCCI official said.

The primary points are as follows:

  1. Shifting to UAE, dates, venues and matches.
  2. Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for teams, bio-bubble and training facilities.
  3. Issues with broadcasters.
