The Indian Premier League preparations are going on full-on, and this year it has to be a blast! IPL2020 is set to begin on September 19 with Chennai Super Kings going against Mumbai Indians in the country Abu Dhabi. With just 10 days left for the event, the administration decided to release the official IPL2020 track anthem which they named “Ayenge Hum Wapas” (meaning “We will come back”). They even made an announcement regarding this on their twitter handle captioning it “The greater setback… The stronger the comeback.” The one minute fifty-three seconds video that had been uploaded features a montage of people who are suffering from the coronavirus pandemic but are now relishing the prospect of seeing their favorite IPL teams and players back in the game on Sep 19. The video is going a hit with
over 445K views on Twitter and 15 lakhs views on YouTube.
However, the anthem as now gained more publicity because of the recent controversy that it has become a part of. Infamous Kalamkaar rapper KR$NA, (real name, Krishna Kaul) allegedly blamed that the anthem has been copied from his rap song in 2017, named “Dekho Kaun Aaya Wapas”. Moreover, the rap song has garnered over 7.3 lakh views. There has been no communication from the BCCI regarding this issue.
