This IPL the fans are set to see first-time participation from USA’s fast pace bowler, Ali Khan. Khan will be playing from the team of Kolkata Knight Riders in the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League.

The two-time IPL trophy holding team will give 29-year-old Ali Khan an opportunity to show his skills in the league and will accept his pending IPL approval. He shall be the replacement for the English seamer Harry Gurney.

Gurney’s unavailability is caused by his surgery (related to a shoulder injury) and he has pulled his name out of both IPL and England’s Vitaly Blast, last month only.

In the past, Khan has been a part of Tribago Knight rider’s squad which remained unbeaten on their way to lift the CPL title trophy. During CPL he managed to get 8 wickets with an economy rate of 7.43.

Khan has been on KKR’s radar even last season; however, no deal could be worked out during that time.

The pacer got the limelight that he was looking for in the year 2018 in Global T20 Canada, where he was luckily spotted by star player and West-Indies all-rounder, Dwayne Bravo. Bravo brought Khan to CPL and moreover, that season Khan also got featured in the CPL All-Star team.

Kahn can get his ball to speed up to 140 kph and his famous for his good Yorkers.
