Senior off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is now recovering from his shoulder injury as the pain lessens and reports of scan have tuned out to be “encouraging”. He received this serious injury after a bad fall during the game of Kings XI Punjab and Delhi Capitals.

Ashwin was playing really well since in that over he sent back two batsmen and later suffered a jerk on his left shoulder when he tried diving and stopping a runoff of his own ball.

Ashwin tweeted, “I was in pain as I left the field last night, but the pain has settled down and the scan reports are pretty encouraging too. Thanks for all your love and support.”

Earlier in the past, skipper Shreyas Iyer had also given hope to Ashwin’s fans that the man will get back on the field in a few days and will soon be fit.

“I briefly spoke to Ashwin, and Ashwin said he’ll be ready for the next game. But at the end of the day it’s the physio’s decision,” Shreyas Iyer after the team of Delhi Capitals beat Kings XI Punjab via Super over on Sunday.
