Former Australian captain and legendary batsman Ricky Ponting while talking to Cricket Australia's website named those 7 players who are going to rock in the league. According to Ponting MI all-rounder, Hardik Pandya is one of the seven. Ricky Ponting has picked fast bowler T Natarajan from the Sunrisers Hyderabad team. Ponting is hopeful that last season's Yorker King is going to crack down on opponents this season as well.
The Aussie legend has also chosen Devdutt Padikkal from Royal Challengers Bangalore, who performed brilliantly in the last IPL and was also the second-highest run-scorer in this year's Vijay Hazare Trophy. Ponting has chosen all-rounder Rahul Tewatia from the Rajasthan Royals team, who played his exceptional last season.
Ricoh Ponting has selected Nicholas Pooran from the Punjab Kings team, the only foreigner among his favourite players of IPL 2021 as Ponting has high hopes from the Caribbean batsman. Ponting has picked Suresh Raina from Chennai Super Kings, who has retired from international cricket and is going to return in IPL 2021.
