The match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has been postponed after two KKR players Varun Chakravarthy and Sandeep Warrier have tested positive for Covid-19. The match was to be played at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad on 3 May from 7:30 pm. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has given this information through its official Twitter handle.

An official statement has also been issued by the Indian Premier League (IPL) regarding this. The IPL is being organized in the BioSecure Environment. So far 29 matches of IPL have been played and there has been no interruption in the conduct of any match. RCB have played seven matches and are third in the points table with five wins. On the other hand, KKR has only two wins from seven matches in its account and this team is at the seventh position in the point table.

"The two players have been isolated separately from the rest of the team and the medical team is constantly in touch with them and monitoring their health," the statement issued by the IPL said.
