Bhuvneshwar Kumar's father Kiranpal Singh(63) succumbs to liver cancer

Team India's fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar has suffered a major setback after his father succumbed to cancer on Thursday. Bhuvneshwar's father Kiranpal Singh had been fighting a battle with cancer for a long time; he died at his home in Meerut. Bhuvi's father was 63 years old and used to work in the UP police; however, he took voluntary retirement(VRS) given his deteriorating health condition.

Bhuvi was at his home for some time and was taking care of his father.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar's father was undergoing treatment for liver cancer for more than a year. Last year too, he was hospitalized in Delhi for more than a month. Bhuvi's father also underwent chemotherapy in Delhi and Noida.

After a slight improvement in health, the doctors allowed Kumar's father to go to Meerut, but his condition deteriorated again two weeks ago, after that he was admitted to the hospital. Due to liver disease, he was hit by jaundice and many other diseases, after which the doctors couldn't do much. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was with his father at home when he left this world.
