WTC Final: BCCI announces 15-member squad of Team India, KL Rahul among five excluded players

Cricket fans are eager to find out who will win the inaugural World Test Championship as only three days are left for the title match.

Team India on Tuesday announced its 15-man squad for the World Test.

Hanuma Vihari has been included in this 15-member team, while left-arm spinners Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Mayank Agarwal, Shardul Thakur and KL Rahul, who took 27 wickets in 3 matches at home against England, have been left out. Rishabh Pant and Wriddhiman Saha have been included in the team as wicket-keeper batsmen, while pacer Mohammad Siraj is also a part of this team.

India 15-member squad:

Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli (c), Ajinkya Rahane (vc), Hanuma Vihari, Rishabh Pant (wk), Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah, Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav and Mohammad Siraj.

New Zealand have also announced their 15-man squad for the WTC Finals today.

New Zealand 15-member team:

Kane Williamson (Captain), Tom Blandell, Trent Boult, Devon Conway, Colin de Grandhomme, Matt Henry, Kyle Jamieson, Tom Latham, Henry Nicholls, Ayaz Patel, Tim Southee, Ross Taylor, Neil Bagner, BJ Watling, Will Young.

ICC has announced that the winner of the World Test Championship will receive USD 1.6 million as prize money, which equals to Rs 11.70 crores in Indian rupees. Whereas the runner-up team will get an amount of $ 8,00,000. In the case of a joint winner, an equal amount of 1.2-1.2 million will be distributed to both teams.
