Team India registered a spectacular victory in difficult conditions in the second ODI against Sri Lanka. BCCI ha shared a video of coach Rahul Dravid gave a great speech encouraging the young players in the dressing room.
After capturing the ODI series, Dravid gave his tremendous speech in the dressing room. He said that 'Team India' responded like a champion.
In the video released on BCCI (Cricket Board of India) Dravid is seen addressing the players in the dressing room. He said, "Obviously we were in the right place in terms of the result of the match. It's unbelievable and fantastic, but even if we lost the match, it was an absolutely spectacular struggle. You all did a great job."
He added, "This is not the time to talk about individual performances. We will talk about this in our meetings when we analyze everything. But when you look at the entire match, the team's performance was very good. We had a lot of performances in our bowling, even batting in the beginning obviously the batsmen got it done at the end. It was a great team performance.
Rahul Dravid said that he knew that Sri Lanka was going to come back in full force after losing the first ODI. But he is proud that India responded like a champion to the host's challenge. He said, 'He was going to answer. We have to respect the opposition team. They responded and we responded like a champion team. We figured out a way to win. Proud of you all. Spectacular.'
