Team India registered a thrilling win by 3 wickets in the second ODI against Sri Lanka on Tuesday. The third and final match of the ODI series will be played on Friday 23 July in Colombo.

The Indian team is expected to make some changes in the team for the third match as many talented players are sitting outside and the Indian team management would like to give them a chance as well.

Sanju Samson, Devdutt Padikkal, Nitish Rana, Chetan Sakariya and Rahul Chahar are the names that can be included in the playing 11 for the third ODI against Sri Lanka.

Sanju Samson/ Nitish Rana to replace Manish Pandey

Manish Pandey has failed to impress in the first two ODIs, hence Sanju Samson is expected to replace him. Sanju Samson has been consistently performing well in domestic cricket and IPL for the past several years.

Devdutt Padikkal to replace Prithvi Shaw

The team management can give Devdutt Padikkal a chance in place of Prithvi Shaw. He was the highest run-scorer for his team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in IPL 2021, while he also had a fruitful season in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2020-21; he scored 737 runs with an average of 147.4 in seven matches.

Chetan Sakaria/ Rahul Chahar to replace Deepak Chahar

Deepak Chahar can be rested for this match; Chetan Sakaria or Rahul Chahar can be given a chance to debut in his place. Both the bowlers were impressed with their bowling performances in IPL earlier this year.
