Virat Kohli, Team India's T20I captain, is willing to stand down after the next T20 World Cup. 'I have chosen to stand down as T20 captain after the T20 World Cup in Dubai in October,' Kohli said in a statement posted on his social media accounts. He has also sent the same to BCCI.
'I've had the good fortune to not only represent India, but also to lead the Indian Cricket Team to the best of my ability. I'd want to thank everyone who has helped me along the way as Captain of the Indian Cricket Team', Kohli made the announcement in a statement.
'I couldn't have done it without them – the guys, the support staff, the selection committee, my coaches, and every Indian who wished us luck', Kohli added.
