Cricket`s Chak De Moment: People now consider women cricketers as `Celebs`

At Cricket’s Chak De Moment event on Saturday, Indian Women cricketers had been felicitated by UP Governor, Ram Naik for their outstanding performance in World Cup 2017. Speaking at the event, the Women in Blue  shared their experience and how much the women cricket has transformed over years. 

They said that people have finally started looking at them as celebrities and everyone wants to get a selfie clicked alongwith them. The cricketers talked about holding championships like the Indian Premier League for women as well so that more and more talent is explored throughout the country. Prominent cricketers like Deepti Sharma , Poonam Yadav, Sushma Verma, Mansi Joshi and Nuzhat Parween were seen from the present bunch of players. Former cricketers like Anjum Chopra and Rita Dey  also attended the event.

The event had been organized by PHD Chamber of Commerce at Hotel Hyatt Regency in Lucknow. The person behind such incredible event was Mr. RK Sharan, Director, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry.  Mr. Sharan played a significant role in organizing the event. Apart from Uttar Pradesh Governor, Ram Naik, CEO of Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association- Deepak Sharma  and Women and Child Welfare minister - Rita Bahuguna were also present at the event. Newly appointed Sports Minister , Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore also joined via video conferencing.
