Pakistani fast bowler Mohammad Amir welcomed his first child into the world, sharing an incredibly adorable picture with his little bundle of joy ahead of the big Independence Cup series.

Amir has been living with his wife in the UK, where he has been playing county cricket over the past few months.

The pacer tweeted: “Shukar Allhumdulilah blessed with the Rehmat of Allah  ... Mashallah,”

According to reports, Amir named his baby daughter Mansa.

Amir is in the Pakistan squad which will face World XI for three T20 matches in Lahore on September 12 (today), 13 and 15. However, he had not been able to join the team due to the imminent birth of his child.

He is expected to fly to Lahore to participate in the last leg of the historic series, which marks the return of international cricket to Pakistan after a drought of eight years.
