It is a big moment for the Pakistan fans as International cricket has finally returned to the terror hit nation with the hosts taking on World XI in first of the three match T20 series at The Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Opener Babar Azam ensured that the fans got their money’s worth as hammered the opposition bowlers all over the park, playing a quick fire 86 run knock before being dismissed by South Africa's spinner Imran Tahir. Although World XI has some prolific batsman in their line-up,  it will require some special effort  to chase down this huge target against a spirited Pakistan bowling attack who are enjoying this kind of  support from home crowd after a long long time.

The World XI boasts of some of the most popular names in World cricket including Faf Du Plessis, Hashim Amla, George Elliot and George Bailey among others.

Although, in 2015 Zimbabwe came to the nation to play a short series, but apart from that there has been no international cricket in Pakistan after an attack on the Sri Lankan team bus in 2009. After 8 years, ICC has sent an official to oversee cricket matches in Pakistan. The series will be closely monitored by other cricket boards and if all goes well, Pakistan can expect to host Sri Lanka and Windies this year.
