New cricket rules  had come into effect from Thursday and the first cricketer who will face the consequences of breaching the rules is Marnus Labuschagne. During a domestic cricket competition in Australia, Marnus who represents Queensland Bulls team, had faked that he had fielded the ball. He attempted a bluff at the stumps and was penalized by the umpires based on the new International Cricket Council rule.

According to the New Law-

"It is unfair for any fielder willfully to attempt, by word or action, to distract, deceive or obstruct either batsman after the striker has received the ball."

The incident took place during the JLT Cup match between Queensland Bulls and Cricket Australia XI. Batsman Param Uppal hit a shot towards mid-off but Marnus tried to fool the batsman by faking a throw. As a result, Queensland Bulls team had been penalized five runs.
