On the occassion of the Independence day, Team India hoisted the Tri-Colour in Sri Lanka on Tuesday. Captain Virat Kohli had the honour of hoisting the flag and later stood in a line alongwith other team members to sing the National Anthem. Head Coach Ravi Shastri as well as the other support staff were also present on this special occasion.
Other Indian cricketers were also seen to be quite active on social media as they had special messages on the occasion of Independence Day 2017. The members of Indian women cricket team who have grabbed a lot of eyeballs after superb show in recent cricket World Cup were not behind in expressing their love for the nation on this special day.
India created history recently by completing a series whitewash overseas for the first time in 85 years. India humiliated the Lankans as they won by an innings and 171 runs in the third and final test match.
