Virat Kohli is having a stellar year, racking up wins and scoring for fun, proving why he regarded as one of the best in the business.

The Indian once again showed his class by smashing his 19th Test century in the second Test against visitors Sri Lanka. Kohli reached his 4th Test hundred in 2017 and 10th overall international hundred in this calendar year which is the most by any captain, breaking former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting‘s record, who hit 9 hundred in a year.

This is Virat Kohli’s 51st career hundred in International cricket and moved past Sunil Gavaskar in most hundreds as an India Test captain with 12 centuries.

Kohli has also equalled Rahul Dravid's record for most 50-plus scores in a calendar year, Kohli now has breached the 50-run mark 19 times across all the formats in this calendar year -- something that Rahul Dravid achieved in 2006.
