IND vs SL: India lead series, Ashwin fastest to pick-up 300 wickets

The second Test is done and dusted as Sri Lankan failed to chase mammoth score posted by India, trailing 384, the Lankan needed to perform exceptionally well form the very start but that was not the case as the Indian bowlers were on a mission to finish the game on Day 4 picking up wickets with ease.

Ashwin once again showed why he an important player, picking up crucial wickets, ending with 4 and in the process, he became the fastest player to reach 300 Test wickets in 54 Test, previously held by Dennis Lillee in 56 Test.

Apart from Ashwin, Ishant Sharma was also exceptional, he made sure his comeback was a memorable one.

With the win, India equals their biggest win-margin in Test cricket (by an innings and 239 runs) and lead the series by 1-0. The next and final Test match will be played in Delhi.
