Indian Premier League may start from 7 pm instead of the regular 8 pm which has been the norm over the last 10 years. In the past, evening matches have extended well past midnight, causing problems to fans at the stadium. However, changes can only take place if the television broadcasters Star India approves.
Apart from rescheduling, another important development took place in the IPL general council meeting and that is mid-season transfers. Like in major football league across the world, IPL will also have a mid-tournament transfer window where a player who has only played two out of seven league games can be transferred to other teams.
