Sourav Ganguly supports Kohli’s demand for pay hike

Former Indian skipper Saurav Ganguly backed current skipper Virat Kohli regarding increasing the pay scale of the cricketers.

"If the Board is earning money, even the players should earn money. When Kohli plays out in the middle, the whole country watches him. The players should be very well looked after because their (playing) span is only for around 15 years. Very few of them play for 20 years. I am a big supporter of this and the BCCI should support it too," said the 45-year-old.

"See the way players are looked after these days. I have seen the entire circle. In 1991, I earned Rs 30,000 after the entire trip to Australia, and when I finished in 2013, I could see a drastic change. It's there in all professions," he felt.
