India once again dominated Sri Lanka, handing them the biggest defeat in T20I history and one of the prime suspect behind Sri Lanka’s breakdown was Chahal, who picked up important wickets and ended the day with 4/23.

With those figures, Chahal became the highest wicket-taker in T20Is. He now has taken 19 wickets in 2017.

While stand-in-skipper Rohit Sharma, who had a poor night in the first T20I, added a fresh feather into his already illustrious cap by becoming only the second Indian to score 1500 runs in the shortest format of the game.

During his innings of 17 in the first T20I against Sri Lanka at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, Rohit joined regular skipper Virat Kohli as the only two batsmen from the nation to reach this landmark.
