IND vs SL: India eye on series whitewash

Cricket | Sunday | 24th December, 2017

India has dominated the Islanders throughout the series, and they have the opportunity to sweep the visitors when the two side meets for the third and final match of the T20I series. The victory will also propel them to the number two spot in the ICC T20I rankings.

For Sri Lanka, it has been a forgetful year, and the two recent defeats against India have just added to their misery. The visitors can take heart from India’s recent poor record at the Wankhede but despite all odds, a Sri Lankan win still looks highly unlikely.

India, on the other hand, has got exactly what they were aiming for. Having sealed the series, they now have a golden opportunity to give untested players a chance to prove their mettle.
