Australia announce squad for ODI and T20 series against India

Cricket | Friday | 18th August, 2017

Australia will be travelling to India soon as the two of the strongest teams in world cricket are slated to play a long series which starts next month. Australia have announced the side and major changes are the comeback of James Faulkner and Nathan Coulter Nile into the side.  Australia’s premier fast bowler, Mitchell Starc will not be featuring in the upcoming series as he is still recovering from foot injury.

While Hilton Cartright gets to make debut in the ODI series, Jason Behrendorff will get to showcase his talent as he makes debut in T20 series. Australia’s tour of India will take place between September 17 and October 13.

"Nathan brings raw pace to the side with good variation. It is great to see him back from injury and we are hopeful he will have a big impact in this series. James Faulkner is a solid one-day campaigner and is very familiar with sub continent conditions, coming off a very good tour of Sri Lanka last year. We hope that he will take his chance in returning to the one-day side. Hilton is an aggressive striker of the ball and we think his game will be well suited to the transition to short-form cricket.", said selector Trevor Hohns.
