In India cricket is like a religion and players are treated like a god, wins are celebrated like a festival while loses and poor performance sometimes are not taken well by the supporters.

Similarly, in an unfortunate event, a 63-year-old retired railway employee and a huge cricket fan attempted self-immolation after Team India captain Virat Kohli was dismissed for just 5 runs on the first day of ongoing first Test against South Africa in Cape Town.

The super fan from Madhya Pradesh was watching the game alone and got upset after Kohli got out, he then poured kerosene on himself and set himself on fire. However, his families immediately rushed to his room and doused the flames. He sustained burns but the condition is said to be stable.
