IPL Auction 2018: Rajasthan Royals spend big on Sanju Samson

In wicketkeeper bracket Indian youngster Sanju Samson will be laughing his way to the bank as he was sold to Rajasthan Royals for massive 8 crores. That made Samson, 23, the third most profitable Indian cricketer of the day after KL Rahul and Manish Pandey, who during the morning session of bidding won paycheques of Rs 11 crore respectively.Apart from Sanju, Robin Uthappa was retained by Kolkata Knight Riders for 6.40 crores while Kolkata also picked up 7.40 crores.

Saha will be keeping for Sunrisers after they shelled out 5 crores for the Indian. In terms overseas players, de Kock was snapped by Royal Challengers for Rs 2.80 crores while Jos Buttler was picked up by Rajasthan Royals for 4.40 cr.  CSK added Ambati Rayudu as their third wicketkeeping option after MS Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav, spending Rs 2.2 crore for him. The experienced Parthiv Patel and Naman Ojha and England's Jonny Bairstow and Sam Billings went unsold.
