Virat Kohli equals Ganguly's record, records his first centruy in South Africa

Virat Kohli was spectacular against South Africa in the first ODI, smashing his 33rd One Day hundred and guiding his side to their first victory at Durban since 1992-93. Kohli struck 112 off 119 balls with the help of 10 boundaries and managed to notch up his 20th hundred in a run-chase, out of which 18 have been successfully converted to victories.

With this magnificent century, Kohli celebrated his maiden hundred on South African soil and also equalled Sourav Ganguly’s record of most ODI hundred as Indian captain, Both now have 11 centuries, with Kohli reaching the milestone in 41 innings as compared to Ganguly’s 142 innings. Out of his 33 ODI hundreds, 14 have come at home, 15 playing away, while 4 have been at neutral venues.
