The Sreesanth versus BCCI saga has been dragging on since 2013 after the cricketer was caught for spot-fixing in an Indian Premier League match.

The BCCI has imposed a lifetime ban on the cricketer which was relaxed but Kerala High Court restored the life ban. Sreesanth in November 2017 stated that he would approach the Supreme Court in a last-ditch effort to lift the life ban.

It seems his effort paid off as the Supreme Court issued a notice to BCCI on Sreesanth’s plea challenging life ban imposed on him. Issuing the notice, the apex court gave BCCI four weeks to respond. It also gave Sreesanth another four weeks to file his rejoinder to the response by the BCCI.
