IND vs NZ: India on unfamiliar grounds, Kiwis eye series win

Cricket | Nz Vs Ind 2017 | Wednesday | 25th October, 2017

New Zealand caught confident India by surprise, defeating them in the first ODI and now the Men in Blue are in a tough situation, they must win the second match in Pune, meaning there’s very little margin for error.  It is not often that Virat Kohli and Co find themselves in a save the series situation, having won the last six bilateral engagements.

The visitors playing in their first ODI since the Champions Trophy played the spinners Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav with utmost ease, considering the Australians struggled against the same combination. Latham and Ross Taylor were so clinical and cerebral during their 200-run partnership that it would be unfair to criticise the Indians too much.

However, Virat Kohli led side is expected to come back hard at the Black Caps. Kohli led from the front on Sunday with his 31st ODI ton but did not get the support from his team.
