Ind vs SL: Dhoni will become 6th Indian to play 300 ODIs on Thursday

As India face Sri Lanka in the fourth One Day International at Colombo, MS Dhoni will reach another major landmark as he becomes only the sixth Indian player to play 300 ODIs. He made his ODI debut in 2004 against Bangladesh and has come a long way since then.

Earlier he was more of a big hitter who used to be over aggressive at times , having wicket-keeping skills that needed a lot of improvement and was very famous for his unique hairstlyle. Gradually, he started playing more responsible innings and was also made the captain of the Indian Cricket team, not to forget his hairstyle also changed. Over the years,  he has been appreciated for his cool and calm nature on the field and has proved to be one of the best captain India has ever had.

 Dhoni has scored 9608 runs in 299 ODIs and is the fourth highest run getter for India in ODIs. Dhoni is now the senior most batsman in the Indian cricket team and his experience can prove vital in future, especially in the 2019 World Cup.
