India vs Sri Lanka: Sri Lanka playing for pride in the 4th ODI

Cricket | Sri Lanka Vs India 2017 | Thursday | 31st August, 2017

Sri Lanka cricket is in complete crisis, they have lost six consecutive matches against India (combining Test and ODI) and are on the verge of losing the automatic qualification spot for the 2019 World Cup if they fail to win remaining two ODIs.

With the team hardly winning anything this year, fans are frustrated; bottles were thrown in the 3rd ODI against India which ultimately led to the resignation of the section committee. While Sri Lanka is rooted with problems, India is having a splendid tour, the team is dominating and several players have buffed their stats. With the series secured, India now has a chance to test the depth in their squad.

Kuldeep Yadav, who was so impressive in the West Indies, may finally get a run. Ajinkya Rahane or Manish Pandey will hope to earn a spot in the middle order.
