India once again produced another superb performance to hand Sri Lanka it's seven consecutive defeat, the host were outplayed and outclassed by the visitors particularly by the dynamic duo of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

India won the toss and elected to bat first which was a bit a surprise given the skipper's tendency to love a good run chance, but that notion was quickly put to bed after Rohit Sharma and Virat started hammering the poor Sri Lankan bowlers.

Virat scored his 29th century while Rohit Sharma knocked his back-to-back ton putting up 235 partnership but once they fell India started losing wickets. It was then Dhoni playing in his 300 ODI and Manish Panday who steadied the ship and helped India post a mammoth score of 375/5.

While for Sri Lanka, they were left with the task of bettering their own highest successful run chase but in the end, they never looked like threatening and eventually folded for 207 in the 43rd over of their chase and slumping to their biggest defeat.

Both teams next clash on Sunday in the fifth and final ODI at the very same venue.
