"India will miss Rishabh Pant in the World Cup"

Young Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant was recently dropped by the national selection panel when Indian World Cup squad was announced. Since then, Rishab Pant has been the center of discussion on social media and comes up every now and then whenever there is any news of dropping any injured player from the selected squad.

Recently Sourav Ganguly has once again rekindled the 'Pant discussion'.  Former Indian Captain Sourav Ganguly on Monday expressed that the young cricketer Rishab Pant would be missed in the ODI World Cup, commencing on May 30 in the UK. "India will miss Pant in the World Cup. I don't know in whose place but he will be missed," Ganguly told reporters at Eden Gardens

21-year-old pant was excluded from the Indian World Cup squad after the selection panel decided to go on with Dinesh Karthik as the second wicketkeeper. With Kedar Jadhav injured the medical staff is waiting for him to recover before the opening match against South Africa on June 5. "He is injured. It's difficult to say whether he will get fit or not. I hope Kedar gets fit." Ganguly said

Pant was brilliant in  IPL 2019 season as he scored 488 runs from 16 matches at an average of 37.53 and with a strike rate of 162.66. Ganguly is the advisor of Delhi Capitals for which Rishabh Pant scored massive runs.
