Topmost dream of any football fans around the world would be to score for his beloved team in front of home fans and then celebrate like crazy, not many get the opportunity to do that but one Marseille fan got to live the dream of millions. Kamel Zaroual was invited by Marseille for ceremonial kick-off before the match against Toulouse as a reward for his fundraising project which is meant to help local disadvantaged children.

Zaroual, a massive Marseille fan cycled close to 2,000 kilometres from his home in the nearby city of Arles north to the city of Amiens and back to raise money for the project.

Once the referee put the ball down in the centre circle and told him to kick towards the Marseille’s team, the 36-year-old could not resist scoring a goal at his beloved football team’s stadium so he decided to take a risk and gave himself a moment he will never forget.

Zaroual ran through the opposition half of the field and slotted home past 18-year-old Toulouse goalkeeper Alban Lafont. Leaving the field he could not stop the tears flowing down his cheeks, as the emotion clearly got the better of him. Marseille manager Rudi Garcia even gave him a hug as he left the field.

Marseille won the match 2-0  in the Ligue 1 at the Stade Velodrome.
