PKL 2017: Sachin Tendulkar owned Thalaivas loses, Fortunegiants outclass Titans

Kabaddi | Pro Kabaddi League 2017 | Thursday | 17th August, 2017

The first match on Wednesday was a thriller of a contest and a treat for all the kabaddi fans as Haryana Steelers and Tamil Thalaivas fought each other neck to neck, match ending in draw . Surendra Nada and K. Prapanjan were top scorers for Steelers and Thalaivas respectively. As Sachin Tendulkar owned Thalaivas could not win this one also, it means they still have just one win from four matches in the Pro Kabaddi league 2017.

In another match on Wednesday, Gujarat Fortunegiants registered 5th consecutive win by defeating Telugu Titans 29-19 as Raider Sachin turned out to be the star performer with 11 points. It looks highly unlikely that any other team would be able to replace Gujarat Fortunegiants from the top of the table now.

“Our team has been performing extremely well. I’m proud of my team’s performance at home. Before the match, I had told Sachin, Sukesh Hegde and Rohit that I want a Super 10 from one of you. And I’m glad that Sachin did it", said Gujarat coach,  Manpreet Singh.
