The Indian hockey team has kept its hopes of winning a medal in the Tokyo Olympics alive. India gave a tremendous performance in their third hockey match, beating Spain 3-0 in a one-sided match today. Spain didn't get any rhythm in the game in front of Team India's fast attack and strong defensive line. Rupinder Pal and Simranjit played an important role in India's victory in this match. For Team India, Rupinder Pal scored two goals and Simranjit scored one goal.

Rupinder (15th and 51st minute) scored two goals while Simranjit Singh (14th minute) scored one goal for India against Nia's No. 9 teams in Spain.

World No. 4 India made a winning start in their opening match with a 3-2 win over New Zealand but suffered a 1-7 defeat in a one-sided match against Australia. Spain's team has so far failed to register a win in the tournament. The team played a 1–1 draw against Argentina in their first match when they lost 3–4 against New Zealand in the second match. India will take on defending Olympic champions Argentina in their next match on Thursday.

It is extremely difficult for any team to recover from a morale-breaking defeat within a day, but India looked more organized on Tuesday against Spain.
