India's only sprinter Dutee Chand had a disappointing run in both 200 and 100 meters events. Her Tokyo Olympics journey is now over. She failed even after giving the best time of the season in the 200m heat held at the Olympic Stadium on Monday.

Dutee clocked 23.85 in the fourth heat, her best performance of the season, but it was not enough to qualify for the semi-finals. Twenty-five-year-old Dutee had earlier failed to qualify for the semi-finals even in her favourite 100m race.

The top three athletes from each of the seven heats and the next three best time-takers qualified for the semi-finals.

Dutee finished 38th overall among 41 participants, marking a disappointing end to her Olympic campaign. Dutee's best time is 23 seconds which she set in Asian Games 2018. Then he won the silver medal.

Christine Moma of Namibia secured the first position with a reaction time of 0.275 seconds and 22.11 seconds in Dutee Chand's group.
